On February 11th, Jordan, CNCEC-ECEC officially signed an EPC contract for the 900KTPA sulfuric acid project with Indo-Jordan Chemicals Company Ltd(IJC), a subsidiary of Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC).
As a national major project in Jordan, the project will be implemented in line with high international technical, engineering and environmental standards. CNCEC-ECEC undertakes the EPC work of the project. The sulfuric acid produced at the new facility will be used to support the expansion of owner’s phosphoric acid production from 330KTPA to 550KTPA, thus effectively enhancing its product supply in the international market.
Upon completion, the project will significantly increase the added value of the local phosphate industry, create a large number of job opportunities, and become a demonstration project for industrial cooperation between Chinese and Jordanian enterprises.
