On February 22nd, Ambassador His Excellency, Dr. Siyabonga C. Cwele, and Economic Counselor Mr. Gary James Smith of the Republic of South Africa visited ECEC-CNCEC, and carried out in-depth exchanges around the cooperation in multiple fields.

Ambassador His Excellency, Dr. Siyabonga C. Cwele expressed his appreciation for the brilliant achievements made by ECEC during its more than 60 years of establishment. He said that South Africa is China's number one trading partner in Africa, and the two countries have a booming economic relationship, and he expects ECEC to contribute to the development of South Africa's titanium dioxide industry. He emphasized that the Embassy of South Africa in China will take advantage of its resources to provide more support for the implementation of CNCEC and ECEC projects in South Africa. He also hoped that ECEC will take the Nyanza 80kt/a TiO2 project as an opportunity to participate more in investment, trade and project contracting services, strengthen cultural cooperation and exchanges, and inject new kinetic energy to deepen the friendship between the two countries and promote win-win cooperation.
