On January 12, 2020, one time successful grid connected power generation was carried out for ECEC’s Tunisia sulfuric acid project. Operating parameters of various equipment were stable, which symbolized the power generating system were ready for operation, which was a solid foundation for the formal run of the project.

The Tunisia sulfuric acid project is the first EPC project undertaken by ECEC in North Africa. The plant has a production capacity of 1800t/d 98% sulfuric acid, using MECS double absorption process with the heat recovery system (HRS).
